Abstract

In modern conditions, there is an increase in competition in the sectors of the economy. As a result, the management of companies is forced to constantly look for new industries that meet the conditions of competition, enterprise management tools and ways to increase competitiveness. Among such tools, corporate governance has particular importance. In the article, the author analyzes the opinions of academic economists, on the basis of which the essence of corporate governance is given, information about the models used in practice is provided. Based on the conducted research, conclusions and proposals for further improvement of the corporate governance system of companies have been formed.
