Abstract

The transformation of the market economy increasingly depends on its ability to introduce advanced technologies and master new markets, create knowledge and improve human experience. In order to achieve competitive advantages in the domestic and foreign markets, it is necessary to implement a properly chosen strategy that will allow to make the maximum use of its potential. It is known that companies in different countries have their own specific aspects of the strategic planning process. This process serves as a guarantee of ensuring and strengthening competitiveness. The article examines the concepts of strategic planning of companies of developed countries.

At the same time, the article analyzes the dynamics of steel production in the world's leading steel-producing countries, their rankings, as well as the development strategies, goals and objectives of the leading steel companies in these countries. A comparative analysis of development strategies of Uzbek and foreign metallurgical companies was also conducted.
