Abstract

This article examines the legal mechanisms aimed at improving Uzbekistan’s position in international indices and increasing the attractiveness of the national economy for foreign investors. In the context of globalization, international ratings and indices have become important indicators reflecting the quality of governance, institutional development, transparency, regulatory efficiency, and investment climate of countries. The study analyzes the relationship between legal reforms, institutional modernization, protection of investors’ rights, and foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows. The results indicate that strengthening the rule of law, improving regulatory frameworks, ensuring transparency, digitalizing public administration, and aligning national legislation with international standards are key factors in enhancing Uzbekistan’s competitiveness in global rankings and attracting sustainable foreign investments.

Keywords international indices, foreign direct investment, investment climate, legal mechanisms, institutional reforms, economic development, regulatory framework, Uzbekistan.
